The Helmand blog is run by PJHQ and the team from UK Forces Media Ops. The team is located in Northwood in the UK and in Helmand at Camp Bastion and the Task Force Headquarters and works to support the coalition forces together with the other government departments such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development. A Minimi gunner takes up a fire position as British soldiers from C Company, 3 RIFLES join Afghan Army and Afghan Police to check out a hill called 'Shrine' near the village of Shomali Ghulbah near the Kajaki Dam. 
The plan is to put in another Afghan Observation Post and Police Checkpoint to help deny access to the area for the insurgent forces
